A hollow sensation that fails to bid me goodbye.

A terrible monster that I can’t look in the eye.

It’s true that lately I’ve been faking smiles.

As I walk alone for millions of miles.

It’s not the bite that gives me nightmares,

It’s the angry bark that I just can’t bear.

The lingering question keeps me awake..

How long will I experience this ache?

I feel I’m just this dark silhouette,

As the joyful days of years ago I forget.
